GROUND is out. And honestly, I feel really good about what we’ve been putting together.

Working with my talented friend Oscar, aka OPKD, has been such a pleasure. I get the BIGGEST smile on my face when I scroll through OPKD's Instagram. And when we finally get some free time together? Upside-down ass shakes.

Joking. I’m nowhere near their level yet, but I’m trying.

Such a bright aura. Powerful energy, yet so sensitive and expressive in the way they move and perform.

I love working with artists who know who they are and what they want to communicate, but are still open to experimenting. OPKD has a strong vision, communicates it beautifully, and is genuinely polite and empathetic.

It makes you want to do your absolute best.

For GROUND, I also got to be involved in the styling process and film their preparations. And in the background? Shaking our asses to The Pussycat Dolls while getting everything ready.

Because obviously.

I also had the opportunity to meet and work with Marta Lipska, who created the GROUND music video, and Alexander Ekholm, who took the photographs. Go check them out - there are some fantastic shots on their Instagram pages.

And now, the next chapter: OPAL.

This Thursday, we’re bringing it all together at The Living Womb for the OPAL EP launch party. OPKD will perform with a live jazz band, followed by DJ sets from DESIREE, DIANA ISI and EUDOXIE.

Music, visuals, beautiful people and hopefully a little bit of magic.

I’ve been running around Brick Lane putting up posters that I designed, stopping by Rough Trade East, and spending my weekend looking for a very specific fog machine.

You have NO idea. I don't think I've ever even seen a fog machine up close before. And don't get me started on the drum kits and keyboards. Suddenly, I'm sourcing instruments and equipment for a live jazz performance like I know exactly what I'm doing. LOL.

But seriously, the combination of this band coming all the way from Norway and OPKD's vocals is going to be something else. We've put so much into bringing this together, and I genuinely think it's going to be special.

Come and see for yourself. Bring your friends, your luck and your good energy. We're going to need all of it.

Thursday, 29 October · 6 pm–midnight The Living Womb, London

Come celebrate OPKD and the world of OPAL with us.

Listen to GROUND, watch the performance, and come experience it live.

Dare to do it. Do it to dare.
